This is a web application, designed for a distributor with warehouses
/ sales points at several locations. The application would keep track of goods in all the ware
houses providing information such as: - Amount Of Goods In
Stock.
- Summary of sales per month
- Percentage Of
Ware House Capacity that is Free
In addition, this Inventory Manager would generate receipts for every
delivery that is made to any warehouse. It would have logs of all sales
and deliveries. If at any time the capacity falls below a certain level,
the application would send warnings to the distributor, informing him of
the impending shortage. the distributor would then redirect supplies to
this ware house.
The application would have a rich GUI, showing data in graphical
form, rather than figures. The image below is an example showing the
amount of goods in the warehouse at three locations, expressed in
percentages.

The bar shows the percentage of
the warehouse that is filled up with goods.
The green
color implies that the warehouse is above 60% filled. |
When the quantity
of goods drops below 60%, the bar turns yellow. |
When the quantity
of goods drops below 40%, the bar turns red. At this point,
the distributor monitoring the software is expected to send
goods to this ware house as supplies are running low. |
